Chapter 6 · Verse 591
इमं वृषणं कृणुतैकम् इन् माम्
I am one, even alone. May the heavenly powers inspire me, this self, to rise to the strength, nobility and generosity of the great.
मैं अकेला हूँ, फिर भी एक हूँ। देवगण मुझे, इस आत्मा को, महानता की शक्ति, कुलीनता और उदारता की ओर बढ़ने के लिए प्रेरित करें।
Chapter 6 · Verse 592
स न इन्द्राय यज्यवे वरुणाय मरुद्भ्यः. वरिवोवित् परिस्रव
Varivovit parisrava. Soma, lord of peace and purity, power and piety, creator, controller and commander of the entire wealth of life, flow on by the dynamics of nature and bless us for the benefit of power and glory, yajna and unity among the yajakas, judgement and right values and the vibrant forces of law and order.
हे सोम, हे इन्द्र, वरुण और मरुतों के लिए यज्ञ के योग्य, शांति और पवित्रता के स्वामी, शक्ति और भक्ति के दाता, जीवन के समस्त धन के सृष्टिकर्ता, नियंत्रक और शासक, प्रकृति की गति से प्रवाहित हों और हमें शक्ति, यश, यज्ञ, यज्ञकर्ताओं में एकता, विवेक और सुव्यवस्था के लिए आशीर्वाद दें।
Chapter 6 · Verse 593
एना विश्वान्यर्य आ द्युम्नानि मानुषाणाम्. सिषासन्तो वनामहे
Si¶åsanto vanåmahe. Soma is the lord of humanity and the earth. By virtue of him and of him, we ask and pray for all food, energy, honour and excellence for humanity, serving him and sharing all the benefits together.
हे सोम! आप मनुष्यों और पृथ्वी के स्वामी हैं। आपकी कृपा से हम सभी मनुष्यों के लिए अन्न, ऊर्जा, सम्मान और उत्कृष्टता की याचना करते हैं, आपकी सेवा करते हुए और सभी लाभों को साझा करते हुए।
Chapter 6 · Verse 594
अहम् अस्मि प्रथमजा ऋतस्य प्ञुर्वं देवेभ्यो अमृतस्य नाम. यो मा ददाति स इदेवमावद् अहम् अन्नमन्नम् अदन्तम् अद्मि
I am the food of life for life. I am the first born of the divinities of the eternal yajna of the immortal flow of existence, prime of value for the divinities. He that gives me, i.e., food, to others for sustenance of life thereby protects and promotes life. And I eat up as food the man who eats food only for himself, without caring for others.
मैं ही जीवन का प्रथम जन्म हूँ, देवों के लिए अमृत का नाम हूँ। जो मुझे (अन्न) दूसरों को देता है, वह जीवन की रक्षा करता है, और मैं उस व्यक्ति को भस्म कर देता हूँ जो केवल अपने लिए अन्न खाता है।
Chapter 6 · Verse 595
त्वम् एतद् अधारयः कृष्णासु रोहिणीषु च. परुष्णीषु रुशत् पयः
Paru¶ƒ∂¶u ru‹at paya¨. Only you as mind and electric energy bear, hold and maintain in circulation this bright vital liquid energy as sap and blood in the dark and red life sustaining veins and arteries of living forms.
हे प्रभु, आप ही मन और विद्युत ऊर्जा के रूप में इस तेजस्वी जीवन-रस को, जो रक्त और रस के समान है, सजीव प्राणियों की लाल और श्याम धमनियों और शिराओं में धारण करते हैं और प्रवाहित रखते हैं।
Chapter 6 · Verse 596
अर्ञुरुचद् उषसः पृश्निर् अग्रिय उक्षा मिमेति भुवनेषु वाजयुः. मायाविनो ममिरे अस्य मायया नृचक्षसः पितरो गर्भम् आदधुः
Lighting up the dawns, stars and planets in space, the sun, prime and abundant source of light, warmth of life and waters of sustenance, giver of food and energy shines over the regions of the world. By the light, power and causal effects of it on other objects in existence such as planets and satellites, scholars of science do their astronomical calculations, and parental, kind and studious scholars studying humanity and divinity realise the nature and character of Soma, the original seed of life and source of energy for the world of existence.
हे सूर्य देव, आप ही उषा, नक्षत्रों और लोकों को प्रकाशित करते हैं, जीवन और जल के स्रोत हैं, और विश्व में विजय प्रदान करते हैं। आपके प्रकाश और शक्ति से प्रेरित होकर विद्वान ब्रह्मांड का ज्ञान प्राप्त करते हैं और मानव तथा देवत्व के ज्ञाता आपके दिव्य स्वरूप को समझते हैं।
Chapter 6 · Verse 597
इन्द्र इद्धर्योः सचा सम्मिश्ल आ वचोयुजा. इन्द्रो वज्री हिरण्ययः
Indro vajr∂ hiraƒyaya¨. Indra, the omnipresent Spirit, Indra, the universal energy of vayu or maruts, and Indra, the solar energy, the bond of unity and sustenance in things, co-existent synthesis of equal and opposite complementarities of positive and negative, activiser of speech, lord of the thunderbolt and the golden light of the day and the year.
हे इन्द्र देव! आप ही वाणी के संयोजक हैं, वज्रधारी हैं और स्वर्णमय प्रकाश से युक्त हैं। आप ही सब कुछ धारण करने वाले, सर्वव्यापी और सामंजस्य स्थापित करने वाले हैं।
Chapter 6 · Verse 598
इन्द्र वाजेषु नोइ᳓व सहस्रप्रधनेषु च. उग्र उग्राभिर् ञुतिभिः
Ugra ugråbhir μutibhi¨. Indra, lord of light and omnipotence, in a thousand battles of life and prize contests, protect us with bright blazing ways of protection and advancement.
हे इन्द्र, हे प्रकाश और सर्वशक्तिमान के स्वामी, जीवन की सहस्रों युद्धों और विजयों में, अपनी तेजस्वी और उन्नतकारी सुरक्षा से हमारी रक्षा करें।
Chapter 6 · Verse 599
प्रथश्च यस्य सप्रथश्च नामानुष्ंउ- भस्य हविषो हविर् यत्. धातुर् द्युतानात् सवितुश्च विष्णो रथन्तरम् आ जभारा वसिष्ंहः
Vishnu and breath of life. sages, Agni, Vayu, Aditya and Angira, who then became the teacher of the Vedas, was Brahma. Swami Brahmamuni explains this interpretation of this mantra in his commentary on Rgveda and cites authoritative evidence from the Brahmana works. Swami Dayananda explains the cosmic process of creative evolution and Vedic revelation in his Introduction to his Commentary on the Vedas, Rgvedadi Bhashya Bhumika, saying on Vedic and ancient authority that the Vedas were first revealed to four sages: Rgveda to Agni, Yajurveda to Vayu, Samaveda to Aditya, and Atharva veda to Angira. Brahma, the brilliant disciple and later the inspired teacher, learnt the Veda from these four sages and passed on this knowledge to his disciples.)
हे सर्वज्ञ प्रभु! आपकी असीम कृपा से, ज्ञान के प्रकाशक अग्नि, वायु, सूर्य-समान सविता और अंगिरा ऋषियों ने, अपने यज्ञ में, उस आदिम, शाश्वत वेद-वाणी को प्राप्त किया, जो बहुआयामी प्रतिभा वाले वसिष्ठ जैसे ऋषि के लिए ज्ञान का प्रकाश बनी। यह वाणी, जो शुद्ध, क्रियाशील, आनंदमयी और जीवनदायिनी है, ब्रह्मांडीय सृजन के यज्ञ में अवतरित हुई।
Chapter 6 · Verse 600
नियुत्वान् वायवा गह्ययं शुक्रो अयामि ते. गन्तासि सुन्वतो गृहम्
Gantåsi sunvato gæham. Vayu, scholar of the dynamics of the winds, self- controlled with your disciplined mind and senses, drying up the mists of ignorance and confusion with the brilliant light of knowledge, come to the brilliant light of knowledge, come to the house of the yajamana who has distilled the soma. Universally moving you are, I invite you come in person. This soma is for you.
हे वायु देव, अपने संयमित मन और इन्द्रियों से, ज्ञान के तेजस्वी प्रकाश से अज्ञान के अंधकार को दूर करते हुए, सोम का अनुष्ठान करने वाले यजमान के घर पधारें। आप सर्वव्यापी हैं, मैं आपको व्यक्तिगत रूप से आमंत्रित करता हूँ, यह सोम आपके लिए है।
Chapter 6 · Verse 601
यज्जायथा अप्ञुर्व्य मघवन् वृत्र-हत्याय. तत् पृथिवीमप्रथयस्तदस्तभ्ना उतो दिवम्
Tat pæthiv∂maprathayastadastabhnå uto divam. O lord of glory, Indra, matchless without precedent, when you rise for the elimination of darkness, then you manifest the wide space and plan the heaven, earth and sky in their place in the cosmic order.
हे ऐश्वर्यवान् इन्द्र, जब आप अंधकार के नाश के लिए उद्यत होते हैं, तब आप विस्तृत आकाश को प्रकट करते हैं और स्वर्ग, पृथ्वी तथा द्युलोक को उनके स्थान पर स्थापित करते हैं।
Chapter 6 · Verse 602
मयि वर्चो अथो यशोइ᳓थो यज्¤अस्य यत् पयः. परमेष्ंही प्रजापतिर् दिवि द्याम् इव दृंहतु
Parame¶¢h∂ prajåpatir divi dyåm iva dæ≈hatu. May Parameshthi Prajapati, highest creator and sustainer of his children, vest and augment in me the honour, glory and life promoting spirit of self-sacrifice and yajnic creativity like the light of the sun in heaven.
हे परमेश्वर, प्रजापतियों के स्वामी, मुझमें यज्ञ की शक्ति, यश और जीवनदायिनी ऊर्जा को सूर्य के प्रकाश की भांति प्रकाशित करें। आप ही सृष्टि के रचयिता और पालक हैं, मुझमें अपनी कृपा से यह सब प्रदान करें।
Chapter 6 · Verse 603
सम् ते पयाँन्सि समु यन्तु वाजाः सं वृष्ण्यान्यभिमातिषाहः. Åप्यायमानो अमृताय सोम दिवि श्रवाँन्स्युत्तमानि धिष्व
Soma, lord of light, health and energy of life, may all the waters, foods and vitalities of existence, antidotes to the negativities of existence come to you in abundance, and may all those abundant and powerful drinks, foods and energies of yours come to us and augment our vitality to fight out the negative and cancerous forces of life. Lord of life, thus strengthened by nature in the regions of light and blessing us for health and immortality, bear for us the best of foods and energies of life for growth and for victory in the battles of life.
हे सोम, जीवन के प्रकाश, स्वास्थ्य और ऊर्जा के स्वामी, समस्त जल, अन्न और जीवन-शक्तियाँ, जो अस्तित्व की नकारात्मकताओं का निवारण करती हैं, प्रचुर मात्रा में आप तक पहुँचें। आपकी वे प्रचुर और शक्तिशाली ऊर्जाएँ हमें प्राप्त हों, जो जीवन की नकारात्मक शक्तियों से लड़ने के लिए हमारी जीवन-शक्ति को बढ़ाएँ।
Chapter 6 · Verse 604
त्वम् इमा ओषधीः सोम विश्वास् त्वम् अपो अजनयस् त्वं गाः. त्वम् आतनोर् उर्वाýन्त- रिक्षं त्वं ज्योतिषा वि तमो ववर्थ
Soma, lord of creation and evolution, you create all these herbs of the world, you create the waters, the mind and senses, the cows, the earths and all else that moves. You create, expand and pervade the skies, and you dispel the dark and cover the spaces with light.
हे सोम, आप ही इस विश्व की समस्त औषधियों, जल, मन, इन्द्रियों और गौओं को उत्पन्न करते हैं। आप ही विस्तृत आकाश को फैलाते हैं और अंधकार को दूर कर प्रकाश से सब दिशाओं को व्याप्त करते हैं।
Chapter 6 · Verse 605
अग्निमीडे पुरोहितं यज्¤अस्य देवम् ऋत्विजम्. होतारं रत्नधातमम्
Hotåra≈ ratnadhåtamam. refulgent lord of the universe, foremost leader and inspirer, blazing light of yajnic creation, high-priest of cosmic dynamics, controller of natural evolution, and most generous giver of the treasures of life.
हे अग्निदेव, आप यज्ञ के पुरोहित, देवत्व से युक्त ऋत्विक और रत्नों के धारक हैं। आप ही सृष्टि के प्रेरक, यज्ञ के प्रकाशक और जीवन के परम दाता हैं।
Chapter 6 · Verse 606
ते मन्वत प्रथमं नाम गोनां त्रिः सप्त परमं नाम जानन्. ता जानतीर् अभ्यन्ञुषत क्षा आविर्भुवन्न् अरुणीर् यशसा गावः
First they study, reflect and meditate on the seven ultimate forms of mother speech and thus realise and know it in the essence through word, meaning and the self-existent reality behind the word. And having realised the content of divine speech, they celebrate the red lights of the dawn bearing and revealing that lord of speech manifesting by the splendour of the dawn of knowledge. (Rg. 4-1-16))
वे साधक सर्वप्रथम मातृवाक् के सात परम नामों का मनन, चिंतन और ज्ञान प्राप्त करते हैं, जिससे वे शब्द, अर्थ और उसके पीछे के सत्य को जान लेते हैं। इस दिव्य वाणी के सार को जानकर, वे ज्ञान के उषाकाल के वैभव से प्रकट होने वाले वाक् के स्वामी का उत्सव मनाते हैं।
Chapter 6 · Verse 607
समन्या यन्त्युपयन्त्यन्याः समानम् ञुर्वं नद्यस्पृणन्ति. तम्ञु शुचिं शुचयो दीदिवाँन्सम् अपान्नपातम् उप यन्त्यापः
Some of these streams of water and currents of energy flow together. Some others flow close by them, and all of them together join and flow into the ocean to fullness. And these clear and purest streams of water and water energy all round abide by that pure, bright and blazing child of the waters, imperishable agni, fire and electric energy of the water power. (This mantra describes the dynamic circuit flow of energy and its imperishable form in the state of conservation.)
कुछ जलधाराएँ और ऊर्जा प्रवाह एक साथ मिलकर बहते हैं, और अन्य उनके समीप से प्रवाहित होती हैं, ये सभी मिलकर पूर्णता को प्राप्त करते हुए महासागर में विलीन हो जाती हैं। ये निर्मल और पवित्र धाराएँ उस जल के तेजस्वी, अविनाशी तेज को चारों ओर से घेर लेती हैं।
Chapter 6 · Verse 608
Å प्रागाद् भद्रा युवतिर् अह्नः केत्ञुन्त्- समीर्त्सति. अभ्ञुद् भद्रा निवेशनि विश्वस्य जगतो रात्री
The night that folds the waking world into sleep has been restful. Now there comes the youthful maiden of the morning, lovely dawn, stirring, radiating and unfurling the flag lights of the day.
रात्रि ने समस्त जागृत जगत को विश्राम दिया है, वह कल्याणमयी सिद्ध हुई। अब प्रभात की नवयौवना, सुंदर उषा, जागृत होकर, प्रकाश फैलाती हुई, दिन के ध्वज-समान प्रकाश को उद्घाटित कर रही है।
Chapter 6 · Verse 609
प्रक्षस्य वृष्णो अरुषस्य न्ञु महः प्र नो वचो विदथा जातवेदसे. वैश्वानराय मतिर् नव्यसे शुचिः सोम इव पवते चारुर् अग्नये
Spontaneously I sing and celebrate the knowledge and omnipotence of Jataveda, omniscient lord creator, omnipresent, generous, refulgent and merciful. The holy thoughts and words of the song flow ever fresh, pure, soothing and sanctifying like the streams of soma in honour of the universal lord and leading light of the world.
हे सर्वज्ञ अग्निदेव, आपकी प्रकाशमान, लालिमायुक्त शक्ति और ज्ञान का मैं स्तुति करता हूँ। जैसे सोम का पवित्र रस प्रवाहित होता है, वैसे ही मेरे शुद्ध विचार और वाणी आपके प्रति प्रवाहित होते हैं।
Chapter 6 · Verse 610
विश्वे देवा मम सृण्वन्तु यज्¤अम् उभे रोदसी अपाम् नपाच् च मन्म. मा वो वचाँन्सि परिचक्ष्याणि वोचं सुम्नेष्विद् वो अन्तमा मदेम
O Vishvedevas, adorable leading lights, protective like both earth and sky, the fire divine, listen to my thought and word. Never shall I speak any words against your life sustaining powers and science worthy of universal celebration. Pray let us rejoice at the closest with you in comfort and joy of all aspects of life.
हे विश्वदेवगण, जो पृथ्वी और आकाश के समान रक्षक हैं, मेरी प्रार्थना और वाणी को सुनें। मैं कभी भी आपके जीवन-पोषण करने वाली शक्तियों के विरुद्ध कुछ नहीं कहूँगा, बल्कि आपके साथ आनंदित रहूँगा।
Chapter 6 · Verse 611
यशो मा द्यावा-पृथिवी यशो मेन्द्र-बृहस्पती. यशो भगस्य विन्दतु यशो मा प्रति- मुच्यताम्. यशस्व्याýस्याः सं सदोइ᳓हम् प्र- वदिता स्याम्
May heaven and earth bless me with honour. May Indra and Brhaspati, ruler and the sagely scholar bless me with honour. May the honour and excellence of power and prosperity come to me. Let honour and grace never forsake me. And let me be an honourable speaker of this august assembly.
हे देवगण, स्वर्ग और पृथ्वी, इन्द्र और बृहस्पति मुझे सम्मान प्रदान करें। धन और ऐश्वर्य का सौभाग्य मुझे प्राप्त हो, और मैं इस सभा में सम्मानपूर्वक बोल सकूँ।
Chapter 6 · Verse 612
इन्द्रस्य नु वीर्याणि प्रवोचं यानि चकार प्रथमानि वज्री. अहन्नहिमन्वपस् ततर्द प्र वक्षणा अभिनत् पर्वतानाम्
I recite and celebrate the first and highest exploits of Indra, lord of the thunderbolt, refulgent ruler, which he, like the sun, performs with the shooting rays of His light. He breaks down the cloud like an enemy, releases the waters and opens the paths of mountain streams. (The ruler too, similarly, breaks down the enemies holding up the powers of the nation for movement, releases the energies and resources of the nation, and carves out the paths of progress.)
मैं इन्द्र के उन पराक्रमों का गान करता हूँ जो उन्होंने सर्वप्रथम किए, जैसे वज्रधारी शासक शत्रु का नाश कर जल को मुक्त करते हैं और पर्वतों के मार्ग खोलते हैं।
Chapter 6 · Verse 613
Åग्निर् अस्मि जन्मना जातवेदा घृतम् मे चक्षुर् अमृतं म आसन्. त्रिधातुर् अर्को रजसो विमानोइ᳓जस्रं ज्योतिर् हविर् अस्मि सर्वम्
I am eternal, I am the heat and vitality of life, and I am truly the fragrant havi of the cosmic yajna (since I am in nature and nature is in me).
मैं शाश्वत हूँ, मैं जीवन की ऊष्मा और प्राण हूँ, और मैं ही यज्ञ का घृत-सिंचित हवि हूँ। मेरा नेत्र यज्ञ की ज्योति है, मुख अमृतमय वाणी है, और मैं सूर्य का तेज हूँ। मैं पृथ्वी, आकाश, स्वर्ग और प्रकृति के तीन गुणों (सत्त्व, रज, तम) को धारण करता हूँ, और सभी लोकों में व्याप्त होकर उनसे परे भी हूँ।
Chapter 6 · Verse 614
पात्यग्निर् विपो अग्रम् पदं वेः पाति यह्वश् चरणं स्ञुर्यस्य. पाति नाभा सप्त-शीर्षाणम् अग्निः पाति देवानाम् उपमादम् ऋष्वः
Agni protects the friend and favourite, it protects the amplitude of the earth in orbit, and the flight of birds. Mighty powerful, it protects the rainbow colours of light in space and the orbit of the sun in the galaxy. Noble, elevated and sublime, it protects the pleasure and amusement of the noble people who are brilliant and generous.
हे अग्निदेव! आप सूर्य की किरणों के रक्षक हैं, सप्त ऋषियों के स्वामी हैं और देवताओं के प्रिय हैं। आप पृथ्वी के विस्तार, पक्षियों की उड़ान, अंतरिक्ष में इंद्रधनुषी रंगों और सूर्य की कक्षा की रक्षा करते हैं।
Chapter 6 · Verse 615
भ्राजन्त्यग्ने समिधान दीदिवो जिह्वा चरत्य्- अन्तर् आसनि. स त्वम् नो अग्ने पयसा वसुविद् रयिम् वर्चो दृशेइ᳓दाः
Agni, self-refulgent light and splendour of the world, your flames in the vedi, like tongue in the mouth, rise, roll and blaze. O radiant Agni, lord of the world's wealth and excellence, bring us wealth, honour and excellence with the nutriments of life and the light of life that we may see the world and the life divine.
हे तेजस्वी अग्निदेव, जो विश्व के प्रकाश और शोभा हैं, आपकी जिह्वा के समान ज्वालाएं उठती हैं। हे धन और तेज के स्वामी अग्नि, हमें जीवन के पोषण और प्रकाश से धन, यश और तेज प्रदान करें।
Chapter 6 · Verse 616
वसन्त इन्नु रन्त्यो ग्रीष्म इन्नु रन्त्यः. वर्षाण्यनु शरदो हेमन्तः शिशिर इन्नु रन्त्यः
Var¶åƒyanu ‹arado hemanta¨ ‹i‹ira innu rantya¨. May spring be pleasant, may summer be pleasant, may the rains be pleasant, may autumn be pleasant, may winter be pleasant and may late winter too be pleasant.
वसंत ऋतु सुखद हो, ग्रीष्म ऋतु सुखद हो, वर्षा ऋतु सुखद हो, शरद ऋतु सुखद हो, हेमंत ऋतु सुखद हो और शिशिर ऋतु भी सुखद हो। सभी ऋतुएँ आनंदमयी हों।
Chapter 6 · Verse 617
सहस्र-शीर्षाः पुरुषः सहस्राक्षः सहस्रपात्. स भ्ञुमिं सर्वतो वृत्वात्यतिष्ंहद् दशाΔगुलम्
Purusha, the cosmic soul of existence, is Divinity personified, of a thousand heads, a thousand eyes and a thousand feet. It pervades the universe wholly and entirely and, having pervaded and comprehended the universe of ten Prakrtic constituents, It transcends the world of existence.
यह विराट पुरुष, जो सहस्रों शिरों, सहस्रों नेत्रों और सहस्रों पैरों वाला है, सम्पूर्ण पृथ्वी को चारों ओर से व्याप्त करके दस अंगुल से भी अधिक परे स्थित है। यह परम सत्ता समस्त ब्रह्मांड में व्याप्त होकर, उसे पूर्ण रूप से समझकर, अस्तित्व के इस लोक से परे विद्यमान है।
Chapter 6 · Verse 619
पुरुष एवेदं सर्वं यद् भ्ञुतं यच्च भाव्यम्. पादोइ᳓स्य सर्वा भ्ञुतानि त्रिपाद् अस्यामृतं दिवि
All this that is and was and shall be is Purusha ultimately. The entire worlds of existence are but one transcendental heaven of immortality beyond the universe.
यह सम्पूर्ण जगत, जो भूत, वर्तमान और भविष्य में है, वह परम पुरुष ही है। समस्त प्राणी उस पुरुष के एक पाद (भाग) हैं, और उसका अमृतमय, दिव्य स्वरूप तीन पादों में स्थित है।
Chapter 6 · Verse 620
तावान् अस्य महिमा ततो ज्यायाँन्श्च प्ञुरुषः. उतामृतत्वस्येशानो यद् अन्नेनातिरोहति
So great is the grandeur and glory of It, and still the Purusha is greater, sovereign over immortality and ruler of what expands by living food.
यह उस परम तत्त्व की महिमा है, जो अन्न से भी बढ़कर है। वह पुरुष इससे भी महान है, जो अमरता का शासक और जीवनदायिनी शक्ति का विस्तारक है।
Chapter 6 · Verse 621
ततो विराद् अजायत विराजो अधि प्ञुरुषः. स जातो अत्यरिच्यत पश्चाद् भ्ञुमिम् अथो पुरः
Sa jåto atyaricyata pa‹cåd bhμumim atho pura¨. From Purusha arose Virat, the cosmic idea, the blue-print in terms of Prakrti. The Purusha manifests in the Virat and remains sovereign over it. Though manifested, it exceeds, transcends and then creates the universe and the world regions for forms of existence.
उस विराट पुरुष से ही विराट उत्पन्न हुआ, जो प्रकृति के रूप में उसका आदिम स्वरूप है। वह पुरुष विराट में प्रकट होकर भी उससे परे है, और फिर वह सृष्टि तथा लोकों का निर्माण करता है।

मन्ये वां द्यावा-पृथिवी सुभोजसौ ये अप्रथेथाम् अमितम् अभि योजनम्. द्यावा- पृथिवी भवतं स्योने ते नो मु¤चतम्- अँन्हसः
O divine heaven and earth, I know you are both great givers of life's nourishments, and you extend to the boundless borders of existence. O life giving divinities, be kind and gracious and save us from sin and evil.
हे दिव्य द्युलोक और पृथ्वी, मैं जानता हूँ कि आप दोनों जीवन के पोषक तत्त्वों के महान दाता हैं, और आप अस्तित्व की असीम सीमाओं तक विस्तृत हैं। हे जीवनदायिनी देवियों, दयालु और कृपालु बनें और हमें पाप और बुराई से बचाएं।

हरी त इन्द्र श्मश्र्ञुण्युतो ते हरितौ हरी. तम् त्वा स्तुवन्ति कवयः पुरुषासो वनर्- गवः
Indra, self-refulgent lord of power and splendour, your rays of light and your radiant powers of attraction and repulsion are great and blissful. Poets, men of vision and imagination, masters of thought, word and the divine voice adore you as divine.
हे इन्द्र देव, आप स्वयं तेजस्वी और सामर्थ्यवान हैं, आपकी दीप्ति और आकर्षण-विकर्षण की शक्तियाँ महान और आनंदमयी हैं। कविगण, दूरदर्शी और कल्पनाशील मनुष्य, विचार, वाणी और दिव्य ध्वनि के स्वामी के रूप में आपकी स्तुति करते हैं।

सत्यस्य ब्रह्मणो वर्चस् तेन मा सं सृजाम्- असि
Give us the glory that is in the golden sun, the lustrous vigour that is in the radiant rays, and recreate and rejuvenate us with that light and splendour which abides in the eternal truth and sublimity of Divinity
हे भगवन, सूर्य के स्वर्ण-तेज, गौओं के दीप्तिमान बल और सत्य-स्वरूप ब्रह्म के तेज से हमें युक्त करें, जिससे हम आपके तेज से ओत-प्रोत हो जाएं।
Chapter 6 · Verse 625
सहस् तन्न इन्द्र दद्ध्योज ईशे ह्यस्य महतो विरप्शिन्. क्रतुं न नृम्णम् स्थविरं च वाजं वृत्रेषु शत्र्ञुन्त् सहना कृधी नह्
That courage, patience and fortitude, Indra, give us, that lustre and splendour whose greatness, O lord super-abundant, you rule, control and release in showers. Like our yajnic performance in life, bless us with wealth, honour and excellence and imperishable food, energy and enlightenment for body, mind and soul. And raise us to the height where we may face, fight and subdue our enemies when darkness, sin and evil surround us.
हे इन्द्रदेव! हमें वह पराक्रम, वह बल और वह तेज प्रदान करें, जो महान और अतुलनीय है, जिसे आप नियंत्रित करते हैं। हमें धन, यश और अक्षय ऊर्जा दें, जिससे हम अपने शत्रुओं का सामना कर सकें और उन्हें परास्त कर सकें।

Arise, O cows, radiant rays and green earth, nature's creative and productive powers of all forms of double potential along with abundant virility and fertility for the generation of future progeny. And may this world be exuberant, vast and high for you, and may these waters here flow sweet and energizing for you to drink.
हे गौओं, हे दीप्तिमान किरणों, हे हरी-भरी पृथ्वी, प्रकृति की समस्त रूपों वाली सृजनशील और उत्पादक शक्तियों, प्रचुर शक्ति और उर्वरता के साथ उठो, ताकि भविष्य की संतानें उत्पन्न हों। और यह लोक तुम्हारे लिए विस्तृत, विशाल और उन्नत हो, तथा ये जल यहाँ तुम्हारे पीने के लिए मधुर और स्फूर्तिदायक प्रवाहित हों।

अग्न आय्ञुँन्षि पवस आसुवोर्जम् इषं च नः. Åरे बाधस्व दुच्छुनाम्
Åre bådhasva ducchunåm. Agni, heat and energy of life divine, give us good health and long age with purity, create and bring us food, energy and excellence, and throw off and keep away all evils and negativities from us.
हे अग्निदेव, आप जीवन की दिव्य ऊर्जा और शक्ति हैं, हमें पवित्रता के साथ उत्तम स्वास्थ्य, दीर्घायु, अन्न, बल और श्रेष्ठता प्रदान करें, तथा सभी बुराइयों और नकारात्मकताओं को दूर करें।
Chapter 6 · Verse 628
विभ्राड् बृहत् पिबतु सोम्यं मध्वायुर् दधद् यज्¤अपतावविह्रुतम्. वातज्ञुतो यो राजति
May the mighty refulgent sun hold, shower, protect and promote the honey sweets of life's soma nourishment, and bear and bring untainted health and long life for the performer and promoter of yajna, the sun which, energised by Vayu energy of divine nature protects and sustains all forms of life by its very essence, shines and rules life in many ways.
हे सूर्य देव, आप जीवन के सोम-रस के मधुर अमृत को धारण करें, पिलाएं और दीर्घायु प्रदान करें। यज्ञकर्ता की रक्षा करें और उसे अविचल स्वास्थ्य दें, क्योंकि आप वायु की शक्ति से प्रेरित होकर, अपने सार से सभी जीवन रूपों की रक्षा करते हुए सुशोभित होते हैं।

चित्रं देवानाम् उदगाद् अनीकं चक्षुर् मित्रस्य वरुणस्याग्नेः. Åप्रा द्यावा-पृथिवी अन्तरिक्षं स्ञुर्य आत्मा जगतस्तस्थुषश्च
Lo! there rises the sun, wonderful image of Divinity, the very eye of Mitra, heaven, the soothing cool of Varuna, the waters, and the beauty of the moon. It pervades and fills the heaven and earth and the middle regions of the sky. It is indeed the very soul of the moving and the unmoving world.
हे देवों के अद्भुत प्रकाश स्वरूप सूर्य, तुम मित्र, वरुण और अग्नि के नेत्र हो, जो स्वर्ग, पृथ्वी और अंतरिक्ष को प्रकाशित करते हो। तुम ही समस्त चर-अचर जगत की आत्मा हो।

अन्तश् चरति रोचनास्य प्राणाद् अपानती. व्यख्यन् महिषो दिवम्
Vyakhyan mahi¶o divam. The light of this sun radiates from morning till evening like the prana and apana of the cosmic body illuminating the mighty heaven and filling the space between heaven and earth.
सूर्य का प्रकाश प्राणापान की भांति ब्रह्मांडीय देह से प्रकाशित होकर महान स्वर्ग को आलोकित करता है और स्वर्ग तथा पृथ्वी के मध्य स्थान को भर देता है।
Chapter 6 · Verse 632
त्रिँन्शद् धाम वि राजति वाक् पतΔगाय धीयते. प्रति वस्तोरहः द्युभिः
Prati vastoraha¨ dyubhi¨. Thirty stages of the day from every morning to evening does the sun rule with the rays of its light while songs of adoration are raised and offered to the mighty 'Bird' of heavenly space.
सूर्य अपनी किरणों से दिन के तीस भागों में राज करता है, और हे देव! आपकी स्तुति में गान किए जाते हैं।
Chapter 6 · Verse 633
अप त्ये तायवो यथा नक्षत्रा यन्त्यक्तुभिः. स्ञुराय विश्वचक्षसे
Sμuråya vi‹vacak¶ase. And, as thieves of the night steal away at dawn, so do all those stars steal away alongwith the darkness of the night so that the world may see only the sun, lord supreme of the heavens.
जैसे रात्रि के चोर अंधकार के साथ छिप जाते हैं, वैसे ही वे सभी तारे भी रात्रि के अंधकार के साथ विलीन हो जाते हैं, जिससे केवल सूर्य, जो स्वर्ग का परम स्वामी है, जग को दिखाई दे।

अदृश्रन्नस्य केतवो वि रश्मयो जनाँन् अनु. भ्राजन्तो अग्नयो यथा
Bhråjanto agnayo yathå. O that we could see the banners of the Lord of sunbeams, the rays of the sun, alongwith the other people, blazing like the explosions of fire in heaven.
हे सूर्यदेव, आपकी प्रकाशमान किरणें, जो अग्नि की ज्वालाओं के समान जगमगाती हैं, समस्त प्रजाओं को प्रकाशित करें, जिससे हम भी आपके तेज का अनुभव कर सकें।
Chapter 6 · Verse 635
तरणिर् विश्व-दर्शतो ज्योतिष्कृद् असि स्ञुर्य. विश्वम् आभासि रोचनम्
Vi‹vam åbhåsi rocanam. O Sun, light of the world, creator of light and Light Itself, it is you alone who light the lights of the universe and reveal the worlds. You are the saviour, you are the redeemer, taking us across the seas of existence.
हे सूर्यदेव, आप विश्व के प्रकाशक हैं, समस्त लोकों को प्रकाशित करने वाले हैं। आप ही सभी ज्योतियों के स्रोत हैं और भवसागर से पार उतारने वाले उद्धारक हैं।
Chapter 6 · Verse 636
प्रत्यΔ देवानां विशः प्रत्यΔΔउदेषि मानु- षान्. प्रत्यΔ विश्वं स्वर् दृशे
Lord Light of the world, to the noblest powers of nature and humanity, to the people in the business of life, to the people in general, you rise directly and reveal your presence directly in their heart and soul so that the world may see the light divine directly through their experience.
हे जगत्प्रकाशक प्रभु, आप समस्त देवों, मनुष्यों और समस्त विश्व के हृदय में प्रत्यक्ष रूप से उदय होते हैं, जिससे वे आपके दिव्य प्रकाश का अनुभव कर सकें।
Chapter 6 · Verse 637
येना पावक चक्षसा भुरण्यन्तं जनाँन् अनु. त्वम् वरुण पश्यसि
Tvam varuƒa pa‹yasi. Lord purifier and sanctifier, with the eye with which you watch the mighty world of dynamic activity and humanity holding everything in equipoise, with the same kind and benign eye watch and bless us.
हे पावन प्रभु, आप जिस दिव्य नेत्र से इस विशाल एवं गतिशील जगत और समस्त प्राणियों को संतुलित रखते हुए देखते हैं, उसी करुणामय दृष्टि से हम पर भी कृपा करें।
Chapter 6 · Verse 638
उद् द्यामेषि रजः पृथ्वहा मिमानो अक्तुभिः. पश्य¤ जन्मानि स्ञुर्य
Pa‹ya¤ janmåni sμurya. O sun, watching the species of various forms and traversing and measuring the wide worlds of existence by days and nights, you move to the regions of light and heaven. So may the Lord of Light Supreme, we pray, watch us, guard us and sustain in measure our life and actions through successive lives and births.
हे सूर्य देव, आप दिन-रात में विभिन्न लोकों में भ्रमण करते हुए, सृष्टि के रूपों को देखते हैं। उसी प्रकार, हे प्रकाश के परमेश्वर, आप भी हमारी रक्षा करें, हमारा पोषण करें और हमारे जीवन व कर्मों को निरंतर जन्मों तक बनाए रखें।
Chapter 6 · Verse 639
अयुक्त सप्त ञ्सुन्ध्युवः स्ञुरो रथस्य नप्त्र्यः. ताभिर् याति स्वयुक्तिभिः
The sun, bright and illuminant, yokes the seven pure, immaculate, purifying and infallible sunbeams like horses to his chariot of motion, and with these self-yoked powers moves on across the spaces to the regions of light. So does the Lord of the Universe with His laws and powers of Prakrti move the world like His own chariot of creative manifestation.
सूर्य, जो तेजस्वी और प्रकाशमान हैं, अपनी गति के रथ में सात शुद्ध, निर्मल, पवित्र और अचूक सूर्य-किरणों को अश्वों के समान जोतते हैं, और इन स्वयं-जोते हुए शक्तियों से वे प्रकाश के लोकों में गति करते हैं। इसी प्रकार, ब्रह्मांड के स्वामी अपनी प्रकृति की व्यवस्थाओं और शक्तियों से सृष्टि के प्रकटीकरण के अपने रथ के समान इस संसार को गतिमान करते हैं।
Chapter 6 · Verse 640
सप्त त्वा हरितो रथे वहन्ति देव स्ञुर्य. ›ओचिष्केशं विचक्षण
O sun, self-refulgent lord of blazing flames and universal illumination, seven are the colourful lights of glory which like seven horses draw your chariot of time across the spaces. In the same way, seven are the chhandas, metres, which reveal the light of Divinity in the sacred voice of the Veda.
हे सूर्य देव, सात तेजस्वी अश्व आपके रथ को खींचते हैं, जो समय और ब्रह्मांडीय प्रकाश का प्रतीक है। इसी प्रकार, सात छंद (छंद) वेदों की पवित्र वाणी में दिव्यता के प्रकाश को प्रकट करते हैं।
Chapter 6 · Verse 641
विदा मघवन् विदा गातुम् अनुशंसिषो दिशः. ›इक्षा शचीनां पते प्ञुर्वीणां पुर्ञुवसो
O lord of knowledge, power and glory, you know all, you know the ways of the world of existence. Guide us which direction to take and persue. O ruler, controller and dispenser of infinite wealth, master protector and promoter of universal thoughts, will and actions, pray give us the light, will and strength to act and succeed.
हे ऐश्वर्यवान प्रभु, आप सब कुछ जानते हैं, आप संसार के मार्ग जानते हैं। हे सर्वशक्तिमान, हे अनंत धन के दाता, हमें सही दिशा दिखाइए और शक्ति प्रदान कीजिए।
Chapter 6 · Verse 642
Åभिष् ंवम् अभिष्ंइभिः स्वाýइ᳓र्न्नाँन्शुः. प्रचेतन प्रचेतयेन्द्र द्युम्नाय न इषे
Omniscient Indra, self-refulgent as the heavenly sun, with protections and promotions of the desirables, pray enlighten us for the achievement of food, energy and knowledge so that we may win the glory of life.
हे सर्वज्ञ, तेजस्वी इंद्र देव! हमें ऐश्वर्य, बल और ज्ञान प्रदान करें, जिससे हम जीवन की विजय प्राप्त कर सकें।
Chapter 6 · Verse 643
एवा हि शक्रो राये वाजाय वज्रिवः. ›अविष्ंह वज्रिन्नृ¤जसे मंहिष्ंह वज्रिन्नृ¤जस आ याहि पिब मत्स्व
Indra, most potent and glorious of the brave and generous, wielder of the thunderbolt of justice and retribution, give us noble strength and courage and be the guide and protector of our powers and forces of victory as far as we deserve and can achieve to the best of our potential. And this is the way, O lord, you feel pleased and exalted.
हे वज्रधारी इंद्र, आप पराक्रमी और धनवानों के लिए शक्ति और विजय के दाता हैं। हे बलशाली, हे महानतम, आप हमारी शक्तियों और विजय के साधनों के मार्गदर्शक और रक्षक बनकर, हमारी योग्यतानुसार, हमें बल और पराक्रम प्रदान करें, और प्रसन्न होकर हमारे साथ आनंद लें।

विदा राये सुवीर्यं भवो वाजानां पतिर् वशाँन् अनु. मँन्हिष्ंह वज्रिन्नृ¤जसे यः शविष्ंहः श्ञुराणाम्
Indra, who are omniscient, most generous of the mighty glorious, refulgent as the sun, lead us on to strength and victory. O lord, exalt the man who strives. O man, adore and exalt the lord who leads.
हे सर्वज्ञ, महान्, सूर्य के समान तेजस्वी इन्द्र देव, हमें बल और विजय की ओर ले चलें। हे वज्रधारी, हे बलवान्, जो मनुष्य प्रयत्न करता है, उसकी स्तुति करें और उसे उन्नत करें।
Chapter 6 · Verse 645
यो मँन्हिष्ंहो मघोनाम् अँन्शुर्न शोचिः. चिकित्वो अभि नो नयेन्द्रो विदे तमु स्तुहि
Cikitvo abhi no nayendro vide tamu stuhi. Thus, O lord most potent, most adorable, wielder of the thunderbolt, destroyer of the wicked, thus do we celebrate and exalt you for gifts of wealth, honour and progress, thus do you too feel pleased. O lord most glorious of thunderous justice, listen, accept these adorations and be gracious to bless us.
हे धनवानों में श्रेष्ठ, हे इंद्र, जो अपनी शक्ति से अंधकार को दूर करते हैं, वे हमें ज्ञान और समृद्धि की ओर ले चलें। हे बलवान, हे प्रशंसनीय, हे वज्रधारी, हे दुष्टों के संहारक, हमारी स्तुति स्वीकार करें और हमें आशीर्वाद दें।

इशे हि शक्रस् तम् ञुतये हवामहे जेतारम् अपराजितम्. स नः स्वर्षदति द्विषः क्रतु- श्छन्द ऋतं बृहत्
Only the mighty wins and rules. We invoke and adore the victorious, undaunted, unconquerable lord for guidance, protection and progress. He leads us to victory over our negativities, jealousies and enmities. May yajna, joint creative endeavour, knowledge, universal truth and law abound and rule the world. Indra≈ dhanasya såtaye havåmahe jetåram aparåjitam. Sa na¨ svar¶adati dvi¶a¨ sa na¨ svar¶adati dvi¶a¨. For the achievement of wealth, honour and excellence, we invoke and call upon Indra, conqueror, undaunted, invincible. Indra, help us overthrow the enemies. Indra inspires us to throw out our enemies, negativities and jealousies.
हे अजेय, विजयी प्रभु! हम आपकी स्तुति करते हैं, जो हमें शत्रुओं पर विजय दिलाते हैं और हमारे भीतर की नकारात्मकताओं को दूर करते हैं। आपकी कृपा से हम धन, सम्मान और उत्कृष्टता प्राप्त करते हैं।
Chapter 6 · Verse 648
प्ञुर्वस्य यत् ते अद्रिवो अँन्शुर् मदाय. सुम्न आ धेहि नो वसो प्ञुर्तिः शविष्ंह शस्यते. वसी हि शक्रो न्ञुनं तन् नव्यं संन्यसे
hi ‹akro nμuna≈ tan navya≈ sa≈nyase. Eternal lord of thunder and shower of clouds, a glimpse of your divine light, just a flash, is for the soul's bliss. O blissful shelter of the world, pray establish us in the peace and ecstasy of the divine presence. Omnipotent lord of peace and bliss, that fulfillment is supreme. The Lord omnipotent is the ruler and controller of the universe. Truly that fulfillment is most adorable, the ultimate prize to win.
हे पर्वतराज! आपके दिव्य प्रकाश की एक झलक मात्र ही आत्मा के आनंद के लिए है। हे विश्व के आनंदमय आश्रय! हमें दिव्य उपस्थिति की शांति और परमानंद में स्थापित करें। सर्वशक्तिमान शांति और आनंद के स्वामी, वह पूर्णता ही परम है।
Chapter 6 · Verse 649
प्रभो जनस्य वृत्रहन्त् समर्येषु ब्रवावहै. ›ञुरो यो गोषु गच्छति सखा सुशेवो अद्वयुः
O lord destroyer of darkness, sin and evil, in holy congregations of people we talk of divinity and divine peace, the lord omnipotent who pervades and vibrates in stars and planets, the friend, the blissful, sole supreme, unique.
हे प्रभु, अंधकार और पाप का नाश करने वाले, हम पवित्र सभाओं में आपकी दिव्यता और परम शांति का गान करते हैं, जो तारों और ग्रहों में व्याप्त हैं, आप ही मित्र, आनंदमय और अद्वितीय परमेश्वर हैं।
Chapter 6 · Verse 650
एवा ह्येइ᳓ýइ᳓ýइ᳓ýव. एवाँन् ह्यग्ने. एवा हीन्द्र. एवा हि प्ञुषन्. एवा हि देवाः. ॐ एवा हि देवाः
So It is. So is Divinity. Such is Indra. So is Agni, the same. Such is Pusha, life sustainer, the same. So are you all, divinities, the same, One.
यह वही है, वही दिव्यता है। हे अग्नि, हे इंद्र, हे पूषन, हे देवगण, सब वही हैं, एक ही हैं। ॐ, वही देवगण हैं।
Chapter 6 · Verse 651
उपास्मै गायता नरः पवमानायेन्दवे. अभि देवाँन् इयक्षते
Abhi devå~n iyak¶ate. O leading lights of humanity, to win the wealth of life's joy, work and sing in thanks and adoration for this infinite fount of pure bliss which overflows and yearns to join and inspire the noble creative performers of yajna.
हे मानवों, उस परम आनंद के स्रोत के लिए गाओ और स्तुति करो, जो जीवन के आनंद और कर्म की समृद्धि प्रदान करता है और यज्ञ करने वाले श्रेष्ठ कर्मठों को प्रेरित करने के लिए आतुर है।
Chapter 6 · Verse 652
अभि ते मधुना पयोइ᳓थर्वाणो अशिश्रयुः. देवं देवाय देवयुः
Deva≈ devåya devayu¨. O Soma, you are the lover of the noble and divine, and you love to bless humanity to rise to divinity. The Atharvans, people on the rock-bed foundation of piety, are steadfast, they direct their concentrated mind to you and drink the life giving nectar mixed with honey sweets of divinity.
हे सोमदेव, आप दिव्य गुणों के प्रेमी हैं और मनुष्यों को देवत्व की ओर ले जाने के लिए वरदान देते हैं। अथर्वण ऋषि, जो भक्ति की दृढ़ नींव पर स्थित हैं, एकाग्र चित्त से आपके अमृत का पान करते हैं।

गोवित् पवस्व वसुविद्धिरण्यविद् रेतोधा इन्दो भुवनेष्वर्पितः. त्वं सुवीरो असि सोम विश्ववित्तम् त्वा नर उप गिरेम आसते
O Soma, Indu, lord of life, beauty and grace, flow, pure and purifying, vibrant omnipresent in all regions of the world. You master and control the wealth of lands and cows, light of knowledge and culture, jewels of peace and settlement, and the beauty of gold and grace. You are virile and command creative energy. You are mighty brave, ruler over the world. We, vibrant and brave devotees, adore you with songs of praise and prayer, and pray we may be close to you.
हे सोम, हे इन्दु, हे जीवन, धन और ज्ञान के स्वामी, आप सर्वत्र व्याप्त होकर प्रवाहित हों। आप भूमि, गौधन, प्रकाश, शांति और सौंदर्य के स्वामी हैं, और अपनी शक्ति से संसार को नियंत्रित करते हैं। हम वीर भक्तगण स्तुतिगान करते हुए आपकी उपासना करते हैं।

त्वं नृचक्षा असि सोम विश्वतः पवमान वृषभ ता वि धावसि. स नः पवस्व वसु- मद्धिरण्यवद् वयं स्याम भुवनेषु जीवसे
O Soma, you are constant watchful guardian of humanity all round in all ways. O lord pure and purifying, vigorous and generous, you cleanse us with all those powers of yours. Pray purify and energise us so that we may be prosperous with peaceful settlement and golden graces of wealth, honour and excellence to live happy in the regions of the world.

Samudra¨ soma pinvase. Creating the lights of your existential presence over the regions of heaven above, you reveal your power by the beauty of forms you create, O Soma, universal home of infinite bliss, and expand the possibilities of life's joy.
हे सोम, आप स्वर्गलोक में अपने अस्तित्व के प्रकाश को प्रकट करते हुए, अपनी सृजित रूपों की सुंदरता से अपनी शक्ति को दर्शाते हैं, और जीवन के आनंद की संभावनाओं का विस्तार करते हैं।

जज्¤आनो वाचमिष्यसि पवमान विधर्मणि. क्रन्दन् देवो न स्ञुर्यः
Krandan devo na sμurya¨. Invoked in yajna and inspiring songs of adoration you love, pure, purifying and pervasive in the world of various forms and functions, your voice rolling and revealing, you radiate as the refulgent sun and transcend the world in existence.
हे यज्ञ में आहूत, स्तुति गानों से प्रेरित, हे पवित्र, शुद्ध करने वाले और विविध रूपों में व्याप्त देव, आपकी वाणी सूर्य की भांति तेजस्वी रूप से प्रकट होती है।
Chapter 6 · Verse 961
प्र सोमासो अधन्विषुः पवमानास इन्दवः. ›रीणाना अप्सु वृ¤जते
Soma currents of purity, power and beauty of divinity, purifying and inspiring streams of life's joy, sparkling, and enlightening humanity, when absorbed, and integrated in human thought, word and action reflect in life and glorify noble people.
हे सोम! तुम पवित्रता, शक्ति और दिव्यता की सुंदरता के प्रवाह हो, जो जीवन के आनंद को शुद्ध और प्रेरित करते हैं। जब ये तुम्हारे प्रवाह मानव विचार, वचन और कर्म में समाहित और एकीकृत होते हैं, तो वे जीवन में प्रतिबिंबित होकर महान लोगों को गौरवान्वित करते हैं।
Chapter 6 · Verse 962
अभि गावो अधन्विषुरापो न प्रवता यतीः. पुनाना इन्द्रमाशत
Punånå indramå‹ata. The ecstasy and power of soma vibrations energise the mind and senses of the celebrant, purifying and perfecting them, and, thus purified, the senses and mind move to the presence of omnipotent all-joyous Indra like streams and rivers flowing, rushing and joining the sea.
हे इन्द्र, सोम के रस से परिपूर्ण होकर, जैसे नदियाँ समुद्र में मिलती हैं, वैसे ही हमारा मन और इन्द्रियाँ शुद्ध होकर आपकी ओर प्रवाहित हों। यह सोम रस हमारे चित्त और इन्द्रियों को बलवान और पवित्र कर, हमें आपके आनंदमय स्वरूप में लीन कर दे।

प्र पवमान धन्वसि सोमेन्द्राय माद- नः. नृभिर्यतो वि नीयसे
O Soma, universal power and joy of existence, pure and purifying, you vibrate in the universe like an ocean of nectar. Celebrated by men of vision and wisdom, you arise and manifest in your glory in the devotee's experience and inspire him to rise to divinity.
हे सोम, तुम ब्रह्मांड में अमृत के सागर के समान स्पंदित होते हो, जो शुद्ध और पवित्र करने वाले हो। हे इंद्र के लिए मदकारी सोम, तुम भक्त के हृदय में प्रकट होकर उसे दिव्यता की ओर प्रेरित करते हो।

इन्दो यदद्रिभिः सुतः पवित्रं परिदीयसे. अरमिन्द्रस्य धाम्ने
Aramindrasya dhåmne. O Soma, shower of divine beauty and bliss, perceived, internalised and realised through the mind and vision of the celebrant, you vibrate and shine in sanctified awareness as the absolute beauty, bliss and glory of existence for the human soul
हे सोम, जब तुम पर्वतों से निचोड़े जाते हो और पवित्रता से परिष्कृत होते हो, तब तुम साधक के मन और दृष्टि में प्रकाशित होकर, परम सौंदर्य, आनंद और अस्तित्व की महिमा के रूप में स्पंदित होते हो।

त्वं सोम नृमादनः पवस्व चऋषणी- धृतिः. सस्निर्यो अनुमाद्यः
O Soma, joyous lover and lord of humanity, let the ecstasy of your presence flow purifying for the protection and fulfilment of humanity, pure, generous and adorable as you are.
हे सोम, हे मानवों के प्रियतम और स्वामी, अपनी पवित्र, उदार और पूजनीय उपस्थिति का आनंदमय प्रवाह प्रवाहित करें, जो मानव जाति के संरक्षण और पूर्ति के लिए शुद्धिकरण करे।

पवस्व वृत्रहन्तम उक्थेभिर् अनुमाद्यः. ›उचिः पावको अद्भुतः
Flow into the heart, beatify the soul, O greatest destroyer of the dirt and darkness of life, in response to our songs of adoration. O Spirit of absolute joy, you are pure, sanctifier and absolutely sublime.
हे जीवन के समस्त अंधकार और मलिनता का नाश करने वाले, स्तुति गानों से प्रसन्न होकर, हमारे हृदय में प्रवाहित हो, आत्मा को पवित्र करो। हे परम आनंद स्वरूप, आप शुद्ध, पवित्र करने वाले और परम उत्कृष्ट हैं।

›उचिः पावक उच्यते सोमः सुतः स मधु- मान्. देवावीरघशँन्सहा
Soma, creator and energiser of existence, ambrosial honey for the enlightened celebrants, is hailed as purifier, sanctifier and protector of the divines and destroyer of sin, scandal, jealousy and enmity.
हे सोम! आप सृष्टि के रचयिता और ऊर्जादाता हैं, ज्ञानियों के लिए अमृत समान हैं, देवताओं के शुद्धिकर्ता, पवित्र करने वाले और रक्षक हैं, तथा पाप, कलंक, ईर्ष्या और शत्रुता का नाश करने वाले हैं।

प्र कविर्देववीतयेइ᳓व्या वारेभिरव्यत. साह्वान् विश्वा अभि स्पृधः
Såhvån vi‹vå abhi spædha¨. Soma, creative poet and universal visionary, all protective, withstanding all rivalry and opposition, moves on with protection, advancement and choice gifts for the creative souls for their divine fulfilment.
हे सोम, हे विश्व के कवि और द्रष्टा, आप सभी विरोधी शक्तियों का सामना करते हुए, अपनी दिव्य कृपा और श्रेष्ठ उपहारों से साधकों को पूर्णता की ओर ले जाते हैं।
Chapter 6 · Verse 969
स हि ष्मा जरितृभ्य आ वाजं गोमन्तम् इन्वति. पवमानः सहस्रिणम्
Pavamåna¨ sahasriƒam. He alone, pure, purifying and dynamic, brings for the celebrants thousandfold food, energy and advancement with victory inspired and infused with intelligence, knowledge, culture and enlightenment.
हे पवित्र, शुद्ध करने वाले और गतिशील देव, आप ही भक्तों को सहस्त्रों की संख्या में अन्न, शक्ति और विजय प्रदान करते हैं, जो बुद्धि, ज्ञान और प्रकाश से परिपूर्ण है।

परि विश्वानि चेतसा मृज्यसे पवसे मती. स नः सोम श्रवो विदः
Sa na¨ soma ‹ravo vida¨. O lord, you give us all good things of the world we love with our heart's desire. You inspire and energise our intellect, understanding and will for action. O Soma, pray bring us the wealth of honour and fame with all forms of life's excellence.
हे सोमदेव, आप हमारे हृदय की इच्छाओं को पूर्ण करते हुए, समस्त विश्व को ज्ञान से प्रकाशित करते हैं और हमारी बुद्धि, समझ तथा कर्म करने की इच्छा को प्रेरित और ऊर्जावान बनाते हैं। हे सोम, कृपया हमें सभी प्रकार की जीवन की उत्कृष्टता के साथ सम्मान और प्रसिद्धि का धन प्रदान करें।

अभ्यर्ष बृहद्यशो मघवद्भ्यो ध्रुवं रयिम्. इषं स्तोतृभ्य आ भर
Bring wide and expansive fame for the men of honour and generosity, bring wealth and power, bring food, energy, knowledge and excellence of mind and soul for the celebrants.
हे धनवानों, उदार हृदयों के लिए विस्तृत और महान यश लाओ, धन और शक्ति प्रदान करो, तथा स्तुति करने वालों के लिए अन्न, ऊर्जा, ज्ञान और आत्मा की उत्कृष्टता लाओ।
Chapter 6 · Verse 972
त्वं राजेव सुव्रतो गिरः सोमा विवेशिथ. पुनानो वह्ने अद्भुत
Punåno vahne adbhuta. O Soma, you are like a ruler sustainer of the holy laws of existence. You are present in the hymns of the Veda and you inspire the songs of celebrants. Pure and purifying, O wielder and sustainer of the universe, you are wondrous great and sublime, the like of which never was and never shall be, rival there is none.
हे सोमदेव, आप पवित्र नियमों के शासक के समान हैं, जो वेदों के स्तोत्रों में निवास करते हैं और उत्सवों के गीतों को प्रेरित करते हैं। आप शुद्ध और शुद्धिकर्ता हैं, हे अद्भुत, महान और परम सत्ता, जिनकी तुलना में कोई नहीं है।

Soma‹camμu¶u s∂dati. That lord Soma, burden bearer of existence, is the universal inspirer, energiser and enlightener, the very passion and fire of life, pervasive in the waters of space, unconquerable, blazing in the self-circuit of his own refulgence, and he abides in the holy ladles of yajna as much as in the mighty majestic armies of the universe.
वह सोम, जो अस्तित्व का भार वहन करता है, जल में भी दुष्कर है, परंतु वह अपने तेजस्वी हाथों में समाया हुआ है। वह सर्वव्यापी, अजेय और जीवन की अग्नि के समान है, जो यज्ञ की पवित्र पात्रों में और ब्रह्मांड की विशाल सेनाओं में भी विराजमान है।

क्रीडुर्मखो न मँन्हयुः पवित्रम् सोम गच्छसि. दधत् स्तोत्रे सुवीर्यम्
O Soma, you are joyous and playful, generous at heart as the very yajnic creation of the exuberant world, you move to the heart of the celebrants with purity of divinity, and inspire and infuse the hymns of Veda and songs of the devotees with the spirit of divinity and creative exuberance.
हे सोम देव, आप आनंदमय और चंचल हैं, हृदय से उदार हैं, पवित्रता से यज्ञ के हृदय में निवास करते हैं और स्तोत्रों में दिव्यता तथा सृजनात्मक उत्साह भर देते हैं।
Chapter 6 · Verse 975
यवं यवं नो अन्धसा पुष्ंअं पुष्ंअं परि स्रव. विश्वा च सोम सौभगा
Soma, Spirit of peace, power and plenty, flow forth, vitalise, purify and inspire us with fresh energy, power and grace of culture at every stage of our growth, acquisition and progress, beatify all our good fortune and prosperity of life in the world.
हे सोम देव, आप हमें हर क्षण, हर अवस्था में, जीवन के हर विकास और प्रगति में, अपनी शक्ति, ऊर्जा और सांस्कृतिक समृद्धि से परिपूर्ण करें, और हमारे सभी शुभ भाग्य को आनंदित करें।
Chapter 6 · Verse 976
इन्दो यथा तव स्तवो यथा ते जातमन्धसः. नि बर्हिषि प्रिये सदः
Ni barhi¶i priye sada¨. O lord of beauty and grace, as you pervade your own glory of adoration, your own creation, power and nourishments of food and inspiration, so pray come, bless our vedi of yajna, our life and work through the world.
हे सौंदर्य और कृपा के स्वामी, जैसे आप अपनी स्तुति की महिमा, अपनी सृष्टि, शक्ति और अन्न तथा प्रेरणा के पोषण में व्याप्त हैं, वैसे ही कृपया हमारे यज्ञ की वेदी, हमारे जीवन और संसार में हमारे कार्यों को आशीष देने के लिए पधारें।
Chapter 6 · Verse 977
उत नो गोविद् अश्ववित् पवस्व सोमान्धसा. मक्ष्ञुतमेभिर् अहभिः
Mak¶μutamebhir ahabhi¨. And O Soma, lord of energy, wealth and advancement, master of knowledge and progress, by the shortest time of the days ahead, bless and beatify us with food for body, mind and soul, rich in lands, cows and culture, horses, advancement and progressive power and achievement.
हे सोमदेव, ज्ञान और प्रगति के स्वामी, अपने अमृतमय रस से हमें शरीर, मन और आत्मा के लिए अन्न प्रदान करें, जो भूमि, गौधन, संस्कृति, अश्व, उन्नति और प्रगतिशील शक्ति से परिपूर्ण हो।
Chapter 6 · Verse 978
यो जिनाति न जीयते हन्ति शत्रुमभीत्य. स पवस्व सहस्रजित्
Sa pavasva sahasrajit. You, who always excel, win or vanquish, who no one can excel, win or vanquish, who advance and destroy the destructive adversary, pray advance, energise, purify and empower us too, winner of a thousand battles.
हे सहस्रों को जीतने वाले प्रभु, आप जो कभी पराजित नहीं होते और शत्रु का नाश करते हैं, कृपया हमें भी शक्ति, विजय और पवित्रता प्रदान करें।
Chapter 6 · Verse 980
सो अऋषेन्द्राय पीतये तिरो वाराण्यव्यया. सीदन्नृतस्य योनिमा
S∂dannætasya yonimå. O Soma, spirit of holy action and life's sanctity, settle in your seat of yajnic action in the nation's heart for the honour and excellence of human values and flow free down the permanent annals of human history and tradition.
हे सोम, पवित्र कर्मों और जीवन की पवित्रता के आत्मा, राष्ट्र के हृदय में यज्ञीय कर्मों के आसन पर विराजमान हों, मानव मूल्यों के सम्मान और उत्कृष्टता के लिए, और मानव इतिहास तथा परंपरा के स्थायी वृत्तांतों में प्रवाहित हों।
Chapter 6 · Verse 981
त्वं सोम परि स्रव स्वादिष्ंहो अΔगिरोभ्यः. वरिवोविद् घृतं पयः
Varivovid ghæta≈ paya¨. O Soma, dynamic spirit of action, joy and glory of life, harbinger of the best of wealth and honour, flow sweet and most delicious for vibrant sages and scholars and release streams of milk and ghrta for humanity.
हे सोम, हे जीवन के आनंद और ऐश्वर्य, हे उत्तम धन और सम्मान के प्रदाता, तुम तेजस्वी ऋषियों के लिए मधुर और अत्यंत स्वादिष्ट होकर प्रवाहित हो, और समस्त मानव जाति के लिए दूध और घृत की धाराएँ बहाओ।
Chapter 6 · Verse 982
तव श्रियो वर्ष्यस्येव विद्युतोइ᳓ग्नेश्चिकित्र उषसाम् इवेतयः. यदोषधीर् अभिसृष्ंओ वनानि च परि स्वयम् चिनुषे अन्नम् आसनि
Your wonderful lustre and beauties shine like lightning flashes of the clouds of rain, like lights of the rising dawns, specially, when, radiating warm and free, you reach and shine upon the herbs and trees and fields of grain and receive them into the shining warmth of your maturing and ripening radiations.
हे अग्निदेव, आपकी अद्भुत कांति और सौंदर्य मेघों की बिजली की तरह चमकते हैं, और उषःकाल की प्रभा की तरह प्रकाशित होते हैं। जब आप अपनी ऊष्मा से सब ओर फैलते हैं, तो जड़ी-बूटियों, वृक्षों और अन्न के खेतों को अपने तेज से प्रकाशित करते हुए, उन्हें अपने परिपक्व प्रकाश में समाहित कर लेते हैं।

वातोपज्ञुत इषितो वशाँन् अनु तृषु यदन्ना वेविषद् वितिष्ंहसे . Å ते यतन्ते रथ्योý यथा पृथक् शर्धाँन्स्यग्ने अजरस्य धक्षतः
When urged and impelled by wind, Agni, you rush fast to objects of your choice love and consumption, then your youthful unaging flames, burning and blazing, rush on like the horses of a monarch's chariot.
हे अग्निदेव, जब वायु द्वारा प्रेरित होकर आप अपनी प्रिय वस्तुएँ प्राप्त करने के लिए वेग से दौड़ते हैं, तब आपके युवा और अजर ज्वालाएँ, राजा के रथ के अश्वों के समान, तेज़ी से आगे बढ़ती हैं।
Chapter 6 · Verse 985
पुर्ञुरुणा चिद्ध्यस्त्यवो न्ञुनं वां वरुण. मित्र वँन्सि वां सुमतिम्
Mitra va~nsi vå≈ sumatim. O Mitra, O Varuna, great and abundant is your protection and wisdom which, O friend, in all sincerity you love to share and extend to us.
हे मित्र और वरुण, आपकी महान और प्रचुर सुरक्षा और ज्ञान, हे मित्र, आप पूरी निष्ठा से हमारे साथ साझा करना और बढ़ाना चाहते हैं।
Chapter 6 · Verse 987
पातं नो मित्रा पायुभिरुत त्रायेथां सुत्रा- त्रा. साह्याम दस्य्ञुन् तन्ञुभिः
O Mitra and Varuna destroyers of hate and violence, lovers and dispensers of justice and rectitude, with all your care and guidance, protect and promote us. Save us, O saviours against evil in our person and social institutions so that we may get over all forces of negativity, crime and destruction.
हे मित्र और वरुण, जो द्वेष और हिंसा के नाशक हैं, न्याय और सदाचार के प्रेमी और प्रदाता हैं, अपनी पूर्ण सावधानी और मार्गदर्शन से हमारी रक्षा करें और उन्नति करें। हे दुष्टों के रक्षक, हमें अपनी शक्ति से बचाएं, जिससे हम नकारात्मकता, अपराध और विनाश की सभी शक्तियों पर विजय प्राप्त कर सकें।

उत्तिष्ंहन्नोजसा सह पीत्वा शिप्रे अवेपयः. सोमम् इन्द्र चम्ञु सुतम्
Somam indra camμu sutam. Indra, lord of the universe, rising with your might and majesty, protect and energise both heaven and earth and promote the soma of life's vitality created in both heaven and earth by nature and humanity by yajna.
हे इन्द्र, अपनी शक्ति और ऐश्वर्य के साथ उठो, स्वर्ग और पृथ्वी दोनों को शक्ति प्रदान करो और यज्ञ द्वारा उत्पन्न जीवन की चेतना का पोषण करो।
Chapter 6 · Verse 989
अनु त्वा रोदसी उभे स्पर्द्धमान मदेताम्. इन्द्र यद् दस्युहा भवः
Indra yad dasyuhå bhava¨. Indra, when you stimulate and energise the soma vitality of life created by nature and humanity, and when you rise as destroyer of the negativities of the counter- force, then both heaven and earth vibrate and celebrate your majesty in awe with admiration.
हे इन्द्र देव! जब आप प्रकृति और मानव द्वारा निर्मित जीवन की सोम-शक्ति को जागृत करते हैं और विरोधी शक्तियों के विनाशक के रूप में प्रकट होते हैं, तब स्वर्ग और पृथ्वी दोनों आपकी महिमा का श्रद्धापूर्वक गान करते हैं।
Chapter 6 · Verse 990
वाचम् अष्ंआपदीम् अहं नवस्रक्तिम् ऋतावृ- धम्. इन्द्रात् परितन्वं ममे
I study, measure, develop and pray for the advancement of language revealed in eight works, i.e., four Vedas and four Upavedas, spoken across four classes of humanity and through four stages of the individual's development from birth to death, developing over nine blooming branches like flower garlands across nine regions of the earth, ultimately touching the truth of divine reality, the Word Imperishable descended from and ascending to Indra, lord of omniscience across the countless branches of dialects and structures.
मैं आठ प्रकार की वाणी का अध्ययन, मापन और विकास करता हूँ, जो चार वेद और चार उपवेदों में प्रकट हुई है, और जो नौ शाखाओं के समान विकसित होकर दिव्य सत्य तक पहुँचती है। यह वाणी इंद्र से उत्पन्न होकर इंद्र में ही विलीन होती है, जो सर्वज्ञता के स्वामी हैं।

इन्द्राग्नी युवामिमेýइ᳓भि स्तोमा अन्ञुषत. पिबतं शम्भुवा सुतम्
Pibata≈ ‹ambhuvå sutam. Indra and Agni, powers of will and vision of action in nature and humanity, these songs of adoration celebrate you. O givers of peace, prosperity and well being, drink of the nectar of this joy and bliss distilled.
हे इन्द्र और अग्नि, सामर्थ्य और क्रिया के देवों, इन स्तुतियों को स्वीकार करें। हे शांति और कल्याण के प्रदाता, इस आनंदमय सोम रस का पान करें।
Chapter 6 · Verse 992
या वां सन्ति पुरुस्पृहो नियुतो दाशुषे नरा. इन्द्राग्नी ताभिरा गतम्
Indra and Agni, leading powers of humanity, come to the generous giver and celebrant yajaka with all those gifts and powers of yours which are loved and cherished by all.
हे इंद्र और अग्नि, हे मानवजाति के प्रमुख देवगण, अपनी उन सभी प्रिय और पूजनीय शक्तियों और उपहारों के साथ उदार दाता और अनुष्ठानकर्ता यजमान के पास पधारें।
Chapter 6 · Verse 993
ताभिरा गच्छतं नरोपेदं सवनं सुतम्. इन्द्राग्नी सोमपीतये
Indra and Agni, leading lights, with those cherished gifts and powers come and join this yajnic session to drink of the soma of joy distilled.
हे इन्द्र और अग्नि, सोमपान के इच्छुक देवगण, अपनी कृपा और सामर्थ्य के साथ इस यज्ञ में पधारें और आनंदमय सोम का पान करें।
Chapter 6 · Verse 994
अऋषा सोम द्युमत्तमोइ᳓भि द्रोनानि रोरुवत्. सीदन् योनौ वनेष्वा
S∂dan yonau vane¶vå. Soma, spirit of divine power and peace of purity, most potent and most refulgent, come roaring at the speed and force of thunder and abide in the flames of yajna and heart of the faithful celebrant purify and sanctify the soul.
हे सोम, दिव्य शक्ति और पवित्रता के शांतिस्वरूप, अत्यंत सामर्थ्यवान और तेजस्वी, गर्जना करते हुए यज्ञ की अग्नि में और भक्त के हृदय में निवास करो, आत्मा को पवित्र और शुद्ध करो।
Chapter 6 · Verse 995
अप्सा इन्द्राय वायवे वरुणाय मरुद्भ्यः. सोमा अऋषन्तु विष्णवे
Somå aæ¶antu vi¶ƒave. Soma, spirit of the innate peace and power of divinity, by its own will and energy, radiates to the heart and soul of the devotee to vest it with the power of cosmic energy (Indra), the speed of winds (Vayu), pioneering spirit of the storm (Maruts), the depth of space (Varuna), and the love of omnipresent divinity (Vishnu).
हे सोम, जोDivine peace and power के सार हो, अपनी इच्छा और ऊर्जा से, भक्त के हृदय और आत्मा में व्याप्त हो जाओ, जिससे वह इंद्र की शक्ति, वायु की गति, मरुतों का अग्रणी भाव, वरुण की गहराई और विष्णु के सर्वव्यापी प्रेम से युक्त हो जाए।

Chapter 6 · Verse 997
सोम उ ष्वाणः सोतृभिरधि ष्णुभिरवीनाम्. अश्वयेव हरिता याति धारया मन्द्रया याति धारया
A‹vayeva haritå yåti dhårayå mandrayå yåti dhårayå. Soma, invoked by celebrants, manifests with blissful inspiring powers of protection and promotion and, saving, watching, fascinating, goes forward, rushing, compelling, in an impetuous stream like waves of energy, and it also goes forward by a stream of mild motion, soothing and refreshing.
हे सोम! यज्ञकर्ताओं द्वारा आहूत होकर, आप प्रेरणादायक और आनंददायक शक्तियों के साथ प्रकट होते हैं, रक्षा और उन्नति करते हुए, एक प्रचंड प्रवाह की भांति आगे बढ़ते हैं, और साथ ही कोमल गति के प्रवाह से, सुखदायक और स्फूर्तिदायक होकर भी आगे बढ़ते हैं।
Chapter 6 · Verse 998
अन्ञुपे गोमान् गोभिरक्षाः सोमो दुग्धाभि- रक्षाः. समुद्रं न सम्वरणान्यग्मन् मन्दी मदाय तोशते
Soma, divine master of holy speech, emerges in the depth of the heart with the voice of divinity and blesses the devotee with the revelation of the milk of spiritual sustenance. Just as streams of water flow and reach the sea, so is the divine stream and spirit of joy invoked and celebrated for the central bliss of the soul.
हे सोम देव, आप पवित्र वाणी के स्वामी हैं, जो हृदय की गहराइयों से दिव्य ध्वनि के रूप में प्रकट होते हैं और आध्यात्मिक पोषण के अमृत का ज्ञान प्रदान कर भक्त को धन्य करते हैं। जैसे नदियाँ समुद्र में मिलती हैं, वैसे ही आनंद की यह दिव्य धारा आत्मा के परम सुख के लिए जागृत और पूजित होती है।

यत्सोम चित्रम् उक्थ्यं दिव्यं पार्थिवं वसु. तन्नः पुनान आ भर
हे सोमदेव, जो दिव्य और पार्थिव, अद्भुत, प्रशंसनीय एवं बहुमूल्य धन हैं, उन्हें हमारे लिए शुद्ध करके पुनः प्रदान करें।
